Effective September 8, 2021, the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) instructed all the commercial banks to provide loans to coffee growers and businesses involved in the value chain. The development coincides with the coffee harvest season, expected to attain 280,000mt green coffee this year for the export supplies.
