The 20th cafe show will take place from Nov10(wed)-13(Sat),2021. As the world waits for Asia’s number 1 coffee event, we will be represented by our branch Sinopia Korea.
In thousand years of coffee consumption history describing South Korea as a nation falling in love with coffee, is not an overstatement as Koreans consume 26.5 billion cups annually. It is told Coffee was introduced in Korea during Joseon times. During the reign of Gojong (r. 1863-1907), the 26th Joseon monarch coffee was served to the king and high-ranking officials & diplomats in the palace followed by immediate approval nationally.
South Korea is one of the leading global green coffee importers with 152,000MT in 2019 which has seen an average annual increment of 5% during 2015 - 2019. Experts say South Korea doesn’t just drink coffee but study it, as South Korea accounts for more than half of the world’s 5000 Q-graders.
