Thursday came with the inauguration of Ethiopia’s new coffee development strategy. The strategy primarily focuses on increasing revenues earned along the supply & value chain in parallel to the comprehensive development of the industry. It is said that the strategy will serve for the next 15 years with 6 pillars at its core: research, production-enhancing extension services, processing, value addition, marketing & sector strengthening. The plan’s development has been realized by the joint commitment of the EIAR(Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research), ECTA & Technoserve. We are optimistic that the fruits of the grand strategy will empower us more in delivering better to the key needs of our clients.
